Folglich verschiebt sich auch das Tief mit seinem charakteristischen Niederschlagsgebiets und der aufsteigende Ast der „Walker-Zelle ostwärts. Westlich der Wolkenfront, die über dem Ozean entstanden ist, entsteht ein eigener Luftkreislauf, der der Walker-Zirkulation genau entgegengesetzt ist.
